Raksha Bandhan

Raksha Bandhan, in Sanskrit, means ‘the bond of protection, obligation or care’ is a popular Hindu ceremony. Sisters tie an amulet or talisman (Rakhi) around the wrists of their brothers, giving them protection. They receive gifts in return. This rite is a part of a festival of the same name, held in South Asia.
