The Conversion of Paul

The Conversion of Paul the Apostle, also known as the Pauline Conversion or the Damascene Conversion, is a significant day in the Christian calendar. It marks the day that Paul the Apostle ceased the persecution of early Christians and adopted Christianity by becoming a follower of Jesus. Renaissance painter Caravaggio depicted this event in two of his masterpieces, and the Pauline Conversion has become a subject for many other artists since. The day is celebrated in the Roman Catholic Church as a Feast Day.
