Shavuot begins

Shavuot, also known as the ‘Feast of Weeks’ or ‘Pentecost’, is a Jewish holiday marking the grain harvest and the revelation of the Torah to Moses on Mount Sinai. It occurs 50 days after Passover, concluding the Counting of the Omer, a 49-day period that symbolizes the transition from slavery to liberation and is tied to the grain harvest. In Israel, Shavuot is a one-day public holiday, while in the Jewish diaspora, it is celebrated for two days, following Jewish law.
