Mountain Day is one of Japan’s recent national holidays, dedicated to fostering appreciation for and familiarity with mountains, recognizing their importance and blessings. With around 70% of Japan comprising mountainous terrain, this holiday provides an ideal opportunity for people to connect with these natural wonders. Despite its recent establishment, awareness of Mountain Day among citizens remains limited.
