International Volunteer Day

International Volunteer Day was established by the UN in 1985, this day is a chance for volunteers, communities, and organisations to promote their contributions at the local, national, and international levels. The aim of the day is to inspire people from all walks of life to take action now for people and the planet and to celebrate the efforts of UN volunteers and all volunteers across the globe who dedicate time and effort to ensure the inclusion of those often left behind, drive climate action and/or advance the Sustainable Development Goals of the UN.
