International STAND UP to Bullying Day

International STAND UP to Bullying Day it’s a twice yearly event since 2008, the first international Stand Up To Bullying Day took place with 236 Canadian schools, workplaces and organisations registered to stand up against bullying, signing the pledge and wearing pink T-shirts. The colour of the T-shirts is based on a campaign by Canadian school children Travis Price and David Shepherd, who stood up for a fellow student who was bullied for wearing pink to school. This event now takes place in 25 countries. The other observance occurs on the third Friday of November to coincide with Anti-bullying week.
