Human Rights Day

Human Rights Day was established by the UN in 2015, this day marks the anniversary of the 1948 of the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights by the United Nations General Assembly, a milestone document that asserts the rights entitled to every person on the basis that ‘All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights’. Available in more than 500 languages, this is the most translated document in the world. The purpose of the day is to educate the public throughout the world on issues of concern, to mobilise political will and resources to address global problems and to celebrate achievements of humanity.
