World Music Day (France)

World Music Day is a one-day celebration of music in all its forms and genres. Originating in France in 1982 through the initiative of the French Ministry of Culture, it has since become a global phenomenon celebrated in over 1000 cities worldwide and more than 130 countries. Countries such as France, India, Germany, Italy, Greece, Russia, Australia, Peru, Brazil, Mexico, Canada, the US, the UK, and Japan participate in this vibrant event. The primary goal of the day is to celebrate music by offering free performances to the public, fostering community engagement, and promoting cultural exchange through the universal language of music.
